Charles Shaffer, MD
Dr. Charles Shaffer is Board Certified in both Family and Urgent Care Medicine and maintains a private practice in Christiansburg, Virginia. Dr. Shaffer spent 20 of his 25-year medical career in emergency care before entering the field of bariatrics. Dr. Shaffer started his bariatric practice in his living room, and has since developed a program to help individuals overcome their eating disorders through education and counseling.
Dr. Shaffer earned his MD degree at Spartan Health Sciences University, St. Lucia, West Indies. He completed his residency at Creighton University in Nebraska.
